Residential aged care podiatry for regional NSW and the ACT
Sole Point Podiatry visits aged care homes in Newcastle, the Central Coast, Wollongong, Canberra and Yass. Planned visit days, the same clinician each time, and clear notes for your care team.
Why regional facilities choose Sole Point
In regional areas, finding a podiatrist who visits aged care facilities regularly can be difficult. Visits get cancelled, providers change, and care staff end up chasing appointments. We schedule regional visits in advance on set days, so your facility knows exactly when we’re coming and residents are seen consistently.
Who we work with
We provide podiatry to residential aged care homes, nursing homes, retirement villages and respite services across regional NSW and the ACT. Whether your facility has a few residents needing care or a full list, we’ll plan visits around it.
How regional visits work
We group facilities by region and visit on scheduled days, so each facility has a regular, predictable visit cycle. Before each visit, your care team can send through any new referrals or residents of concern, and we build them into the day. Between visits, we stay in contact with your staff by phone and email, and flag anything that needs earlier attention from a GP.
On site podiatry services for residents
Residents are treated in their room or a suitable space within the facility, so there’s no need to travel to a clinic. Routine care includes nail and skin treatment for thickened or fungal nails, corns, callus. We also carry out diabetic foot assessments with ongoing management. Higher-risk residents receive wound monitoring, pressure area checks, footwear advice, as well as gait reviews where falls are a concern.
Why regular foot care matters for regional residents
When podiatry visits are irregular, small problems go unnoticed. Overgrown nails, pressure areas and changes in sensation can lead to pain, infection and falls. A consistent visit schedule gives residents ongoing care and gives your staff a reliable point of contact when something changes.
Your podiatrist
Visits are led by Zach, a podiatrist with experience in aged care and high-risk foot care. Facilities deal with the same clinician from visit to visit, so residents see a familiar face and your staff have one person to talk to.
